Successful internet users know how to analyze and criticize the mass of information that can be found on the web. This evaluation tool is intended to help students judge whether a given website can be used as a reliable, credible source.
The two attachments above correlate with ALCOS standard #24 in third grade mathematics as well as the NCTM standards in geometry. Unlike standard presentation software (such as PowerPoint) the Promethean Board flipchart includes several activities which promote interactive student learning and teaching strategies to enhance engagement. Students are encouraged to compare and contrast the how each culture is influenced by their freedom, and conversely, how freedom is influenced by culture. iPad Apps for Education As technology becomes more prevalent in society, it is natural for the realm of education to follow suit. This page contains numerous reviews of different educational applications for the iPad-- useful for both students and educators. The reviews include price, subject/grade level, and a brief summary of each application. Symbaloo
This Symbaloo webmix is geared towards supporting diverse needs in the classroom. Teal tiles on the far left link to resources and applications address issues relating to a wide range of special education services. The green tiles focus on learning styles and ways to foster creativity and different educational approaches in the classroom. Purple tiles in the top center are helpful links for teachers to use when planning lessons for a diverse class. The grey tiles link to interesting websites for student use; each of which can be used to create original presentations and/or provide an interactive outlet for learning. Finally, the white tiles on the far right are more flexible, open-ended sites which can be used by students and educators in order to reinforce material.
